I bought the van in 2005 from the previous owner who had had enough after the BDA that was running in it dropped a hardened valve seat after only 800 miles. Before that it was running a 1700 Crossflow that was putting out 136bhp before the 50bhp squirt of Nitrous.
The current spec is now an 1800 Zetec engine, with Jenvey throttlebodies and Megasquirt ECU. Since the van was MOT’d at the end of May 2006, it hasn’t been the most reliable, so I have named it ‘Christine’ after the posessed Plymouth Fury from the John Carpenter film. The engine has had to come out around 6 times in as many weeks because of oil leaks and sump gasket problems. 
I’ve also blown up two Megasquirts due to the low impedence Bosch 803 injectors I was running. I’ve since switched to Peugeot 205gti injectors, and it’s running much better. The map is more or less a base map, so performance, whilst quick, isn’t earth shattering.
Things are settling down though now.
